Meet the Founder

At MyNextVet, we are dedicated to being your trusted partner in your pet's healthcare journey. Our mission is to simplify veterinary medicine by presenting findings in clear, easy-to-understand language. We help you comprehend your pet's health issues and treatment options, ensuring you are fully informed and confident in your decisions. At MyNextVet, clear communication is the cornerstone of our purpose, empowering pet owners with knowledge for better pet care.

MyNextVet was founded by Dr. Gary Gluck, a seasoned veterinarian with over 23 years of experience in general practice. Dr. Gluck understands the challenges pet owners face when they struggle to comprehend their pet's health issues. His deep understanding of these frustrations stems from his extensive experience and commitment to improving communication between clients and their pet's healthcare team. Dr. Gluck has guided many clients through their fears and doubts, helping them understand their pets' conditions and advocate for additional testing and alternative treatments. Through thoughtful questions and conversations, he ensures that pet owners are aware of all their options before proceeding with a treatment plan.

Dr. Gary Gluck, DVM, founded MyNextVet with a passion for client education. Growing up on his grandparent's farm in Plainfield, Connecticut, Dr. Gluck developed a love for animals and a strong sense of community through his involvement in 4H events. After earning a BS in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-School of Veterinary Medicine, he returned to Eastern Connecticut to practice veterinary medicine. Over his career, Dr. Gluck successfully owned and grew multiple veterinary practices, eventually selling them to focus on building client relationships nationwide through MyNextVet.

In addition to his veterinary practice, Dr. Gluck created a Veterinary Assistant certificate program at Quinebaug Valley Community College, significantly impacting local veterinary employment. He has served in leadership roles and as a speaker for Zoetis, and has ventured into residential and commercial real estate.

Outside of work, Dr. Gluck enjoys competitive cycling, motorcycling, fly fishing, traveling, racing his BMW, and spending time with his son Gavin and his significant other, Anah.
